Celebrate Jazz, Celebrate Singapore!

The Jazz Association (Singapore) (JASS) Benefit Gala 2025 will be held on Sunday, 16 November 2025, 6.30pm at Shangri-La Singapore, Island Ballroom.

This year, we celebrate two significant milestones: Singapore’s 60th year of independence (SG60), and the 65th birthday of our founding Executive Director and Music Director, Maestro Jeremy Monteiro — affectionately known as Singapore’s “King of Swing”. This occasion marks nearly five decades of Jeremy’s extraordinary contributions to jazz in Singapore and beyond.

To commemorate this momentous year, we warmly invite you to the JASS Benefit Gala 2025: Jazzy Jubilee – A Gala of Celebrations, promising to be an unforgettable evening of music, meaning and joy.

Guests will be treated to a vibrant showcase of homegrown jazz talent. Performing that evening are some of Singapore’s most iconic and captivating voices: the magnetic Alemay Fernandez, our beloved Godfather of Jazz Louis Soliano, the soulful and rising Vanessa Shavonne, the smooth and stylish Nick Zavior, and the charismatic young talent, Siti Nur Iman. They will be joined on stage by the Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO), led by Maestro Jeremy Monteiro, alongside Deputy Music Directors Chok Kerong and Weixiang Tan. Together, they will deliver a night brimming with swing, soul and celebration.

Your presence and support at the Gala directly enable JASS to continue its vital work. The JASS Music Scholarship Programme has empowered twelve young musicians to pursue formal jazz education both locally and overseas. The JASS Support Fund offers crucial short-term assistance to musicians facing illness or hardship. In 2025, we launched JASS Junior, a new initiative nurturing talented young improvisers aged 12 and below, helping them grow into the next generation of jazz musicians who may one day join the Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra (JASSYO!) and eventually JASSO itself. Beyond these programmes, JASS remains committed to developing the artistic excellence of our orchestras, expanding local jazz audiences, and promoting Singapore jazz globally through meaningful cultural exchange.

We sincerely hope you will join us for this special night of celebration and giving. Together, let us continue to keep the spirit of Singapore jazz alive and thriving.
